Eye on the World: Switzerland

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Caribbean editor, Ed Wetschler, and his wife, Carol, are back from Switzerland, where Ed’s brother attended medical school. They wore out their Swiss Passes exploring Basel; the Old Town of Bern, a UNESCO World Heritage site; the hills Emmental; the alpine peaks around the Jungfraujoch; and the lovely Lake Geneva region, with its palm trees (at 46.6 degrees N. Latitude!), vineyards, and traces of Charlie Chaplin, Russian royalty, and Freddie Mercury. Along the way, they visited some grand hotels, too. Meanwhile, here’s a peek at what they saw.
