The highly anticipated Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski is set to be the first five-star resort in Dominica when it opens its doors in October 2019.
Kempinski Hotels is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, created in 1897, and the new resort will be its second Caribbean venture. The property will boast 151 guestrooms and suites, luxuriously appointed and featuring mountain or ocean views.
“Bringing this project to fruition is another remarkable milestone for Kempinski Hotels,” said Michael Schoonewagen, general manager, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica in a press release statement. “We are especially proud of this property because it will give travelers the chance to experience Dominica like never before by bringing together the timeless opulence of Kempinski with the destination’s pristine, untouched landscape to create a transcendent experience where luxury meets nature.”
Dining options at the resort include the signature restaurant Cabrits Market featuring interactive buffet stations and a range of international cuisine including Italian, barbecue, and a Creole-themed dinner and brunch. The sea-view Kweyol Beach Cafe offers a unique spin on the traditional Creole beach bar, while Bonsai serves Pan-Asian cuisine such as sushi, sashimi, satays, Thai curries, wok-sauteed dishes and more. The resort also has an 18,000 sq. ft. spa, four pools, two tennis courts, onsite water sports and more than 8,000 sq. ft. of event space.
For the ultimate luxury experience at Cabrits, a 4,585 sq. ft. Presidential Villa is available, featuring ocean views, a dedicated butler service, a private lobby entrance, two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a dining room, a private spa room with sauna, and a large, oversized terrace for outdoor dining complete with a grill and private pool. A private chef is also available upon request.
Dominica is located between Guadeloupe and Martinique, and is largely covered by wooded mountain and tropical rainforest. The island is protected by an extensive national park system that includes three national parks, two forest reserves and the Syndicate Parrot Reserve. It is home to the world’s second largest hot spring as well as 365 rivers, one for each day of the year.
The resort has been designed to respect and preserve the unspoiled beauty of the island and is committed to protecting its pristine environment for future generations of travelers. Guests can enjoy eco-trekking on countless hiking trails, bird watching, observing wildlife in their natural habitat, world-class diving and snorkeling.
Guests who book now will receive one complimentary night when staying for a minimum of three nights, including a daily gourmet breakfast.
