The new 2019 USA and Canada Premium Escorted Journeys collection just launched featuring 15 itineraries that have been crafted to encourage clients to discover North America’s landscapes, distinctive regional flavors, and cultural heritage.

These itineraries feature a curated selection of over 35 Insight Experiences that are not readily available to the average traveler. These experiences include activities such as a trip with a lobster fisherman aboard his boat in Shellac Bay, wine tasting at Sonoma’s Madrone Family vineyards, or a visit with the high-speed huskies of the Alaskan champion sled dog team. Guests will stay at accommodations inside several national parks, such as the Grand Canyon Lodges and the Zion National Park Lodge. They’ll also indulge in authentic dining experiences including farm-to-table cuisine, a dine-around selection of restaurants, and dine-at home experiences with EatWith, one of Insight Vacations’ partners who specializes in connecting guests with local foodies for in-home meals.

For example, of of the 15 bookable itineraries is the 7-day (land only) or 14-day (land and cruise) Jewels of Alaska journey. On this adventure, your guests will visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage where they’ll learn about local indigenous traditions, and meet a bush pilot who will share fascinating stories about the joys and hazards of flying in rural Alaska. They’ll also ride in the Alaskan Railway’s panoramic dome railcar en route to the Denali National Park as they take in the views. While in Big Lake, they’ll meet a champion musher’s dogs and learn about the challenges of competing in the 1,049-mile Iditarod, and then head on a cruise around the glaciers and icebergs of Prince William Sound. Guests on the 14-day itinerary will continue on to the Glacier Discovery Cruise, which will take them past the massive peaks of Glacier Bay National Park, to Juneau, and to the world’s largest collection of standing totem poles in Ketchikan.

As an added incentive, for those clients who book a North American journey and pay in full before January 17, 2019 will save 10 percent. Rates start at $2,835 pp for the 7-day itinerary.
