Anawrahta Navigates Myanmar’s Historic Waters on Maiden Season

Heritage Line’s newest luxury paddle wheeler, the Anawrahta, began her maiden voyage from Yangon to Bagan, Myanmar on March 4. The vessel features 23 all balconied staterooms with sixteen 344-sq.-ft. Deluxe cabins, as well as seven suites, ranging in size from the 517-sq.-ft. Junior Suite and the 635-sq.-ft. Executive Suite to the 926-sq.-ft. Palatial Royal Suites, each of which comes with its own private outdoor jacuzzi. Additionally, the Anawrahta boasts a large picture-windowed dining hall, a spa, a plunge pool with a jacuzzi and a sun deck with cabanas.

For her maiden season, the Anawrahta will operate seven different itineraries in Myanmar, including a 4-night cruise from Bagan to Mandalay; a 7-night cruise from Mandalay to Shwe Paw Kyun; and two 11-night voyages—the first sailing from Mandalay up the Chindwin River to Homelin, and the second sailing from Yangon up to Mandalay. In addition, Heritage Line has added two special holiday sailings departing in December—a 7-night Christmas cruise departing Dec. 19 and returning Dec. 26, followed by a 7-night cruise on the same itinerary departing Dec. 27 and returning Jan. 3, 2017.
