AmaWaterways is expanding its Wellness Program, bringing activities to benefit the mind, body, and spirit to its entire fleet.
Making its way across the fleet in Europe and Southeast Asia in 2019, the Wellness Program is led by a dedicated Wellness Host on each ship who will lead guests in activities such as group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, stretching, and resistance band training, plus lectures and discussions on topics related to holistic wellness. On shore, guests can take part in active excursions like guided hiking, biking, and running outings.
“The Wellness Program is very close to my heart, as I believe so strongly in the importance of integrating regular exercise and healthy eating into our day-to-day lives, and it shouldn’t have to stop while having fun on vacation,” said Kristin Karst, executive v.p. and co-owner of AmaWaterways, in press materials.
The Wellness Program made its debut onboard AmaLyra in 2017 after years of AmaWaterways already offering complimentary bike rentals, fitness facilities and a walking track, plus a massage room and hydration station available 24 hours a day for the health-conscious travelers. This year, the Wellness Program added six new Wellness Hosts, and it will continue to expand in 2019 and beyond, according to Karst.
