With that in mind, Travel Alaska has opened a virtual window into what your clients can expect once they start exploring the 49th state again. Travel Alaska’s new video created for these unprecedented times reminds the viewer that Alaska will still be there when we return to a more normal way of life—“Alaska will wait, for you”—and that the Alaska community wants “you to dream now, and travel later.”
Additionally, Travel Alaska is sharing a number of other virtual vacations, including Instagram highlights; the TravelAlaska blog, which features webcams, 360-degree photo panoramas and live events from across the state; and a window into Alaska’s native heritage via the Alaska Native Heritage Center’s Facebook page, where Alaska Native elders and leaders lead twice-weekly live storytelling hours.
For those clients who want to get up-close with wildlife, the Alaska SeaLife Center staff takes fans behind the scenes for animal feedings and more via its Facebook and YouTube pages; and on its Facebook page, the Anchorage Museum is taking fans behind the scenes with a collections manager, livestreaming home studio sessions with sound artists and musicians featured in the current “Listen Up: Northern Soundscapes” exhibit.
