From secluded retreats in Ibiza to culinary immersion experiences in Istanbul, Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, is offering travelers one-of-a-kind experiences.

This weekend Six Senses Ibiza opens in the secluded Xarraca Bay offering offers a  variety of amenities and programming from farm-to-table dining, music, art, sustainable fashion, culture, longevity and wellness. Each experience is inspired by the traditions and values of the island’s north to deliver a destination that provokes moments of community, spirituality and celebration.

The property features 116 guestrooms and suites, including cave suites built into the cliffs. There are also a handful of Village Residences ideal for large groups or longer-term stays.

Powered by its own renewable energy source—up to 51 percent at any given moment—  and with punchy zero waste and zero single-use plastic targets, the resort has sustainability at its core. The result is the Balearic Islands’ first resort and residential community to achieve certification by BREEAM, the world’s original and leading assessment of sustainability within the built environment, and a new benchmark for sustainable real estate worldwide.

Led by Master Chef Eyal Shani, the resort’s flagship dining destination, HaSalon Ibiza, and the full bar and restaurant offering, showcase the organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Shani intends to revitalize Ibiza’s energy for plant-based dining, harnessing the island’s natural abundance of ingredients. The open kitchen allows the guests to become part of Shani’s creative process as they gather at the 50-seat chef’s table in the shade of 100-year-old olive trees.

In addition, the Farmers’ Market offers an authentic selection of natural and sustainable specialty items, from wood-fired pizzas to traditional coffees and treats. The Orchard is the property’s most intimate dining venue that blends classic, local cuisine with Mexican-Peruvian cocktails. Live Cave, Twin Bar, and Farmacy Bar offer mixology experiences featuring organic, made-to-order juices, elixirs, wines, and spirits.

For the property’s opening season, Six Senses Ibiza will also be the home to a summer residency of New York City’s renowned dining destination, BONDST through an eclectic menu of Japanese cuisine.

Wellness Experiences
From signature and locally inspired treatments, to biohacking that optimizes the body’s natural recovery systems, multi-layered wellness workshops, and skincare solutions, guests’ will be catered to at the Six Senses Spa.

The Rose Bar offers a one-of-a-kind destination for impactful longevity programs, combining diagnostics with nutritional guidance and modern healing methods to optimize health and performance. The 12,900 sq. ft. space also houses a fitness area, a rooftop yoga platform, an outdoor boxing ring, a steam room, salon, hot bath and more.

The property also offers multi-day wellness immersions during the cool season. Starting this year in September, Grow a New Body with Dr. Villoldo taps into unique genealogies to detoxify and reset the body, or guests can opt for the Journey to Profound Transformation with Marisa Peer session. In addition, the first of the recurring YogaFlow and BodyFlow immersions will take place between Oct. 20 and 26, incorporating the benefits of movement, community and self-care. For guests short on time, the resort offers mini immersions in as little as 90 minutes. 

Creative Innovations
With programming by composer, producer, and recording artist Tomer Biran, and supported by music industry executive Shivas Howard-Brown, the Beach Caves create an immersive sensory experience through live music events and performances that represent cultures from all over the world. Plus there’s also a DJ booth with a selection of curated Ibiza titles for Beach Cave guests to mix.

Visual arts are represented in the galleries of the resort’s corridors and public spaces through a unique collection curated by Magnum Photo. 

Agora, part shop, part entertainment and discovery center brings together the ideas of luxury and sustainability. Curated by renowned fashion editors Daniela Agnelli and Tiffanie Darke, the idea behind Agora is to redefine luxury today. “We believe the true modern meaning of luxury is moving through the world in as frictionless a way as possible,” they say. The story of Agora has been curated into four chapters: ‘Recycle’, ‘Restore’, ‘Restore’ and ‘Rent’. 

And for those seeking for a little more adventure, guests can get their adrenaline pumping through cliff jumping or opt for a selection of complimentary water activities including snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or underwater guided meditation. Those who want to explore the surrounding area can take a paddle trip to the fishermen’s huts at Cala Xuclar, shop at the local Sunday craft market in bohemian San Juan, or take a boat trip to the mystical Es Vedra island.

Summer Culinary Experiences at Six Senses in Istanbul

Six Senses Kocatas Mansions, Istanbul is offering a culinary journey during an exclusive summer escape on the Bosphorus.

The property, featuring 43 guestrooms and suites, is located in the Sariyer district of Istanbul’s European side. The summer culinary offer offer includes complimentary breakfast and dinner, Earth Lab workshops, and a choice of half-price spa treatments.

The Experiences Team at Six Senses Kocatas Mansions shares the best of the city’s sights and gourmet delights; including a boat trip to discover local tastes, a stroll around the Sariyer market with the executive chef, and a cooking class incorporating vegetables harvested from the on-site organic garden.

Offering easy access to the old town and heritage sites, the resort’s prime location is ideal for guests choosing to visit Istanbul’s nearby beaches where they can swim between two continents and run or bicycle along the waterfront or through the city’s largest forest. Onsite Dining
Avlu Restaurant, located in the green courtyard of Sait Paşa Mansion, is an all-day dining venue with a contemporary take on traditional Turkish cuisine. Executive Chef Ozgur Ustun says in a press statement, “Turkish cuisine is one of the most popular in the world and it always creates a pleasant surprise for visitors. We combine the Eat With Six Senses philosophy with the centuries-old experience of Turkish food culture. The weekly menus incorporate local, seasonal, and sustainable products from our organic garden.”

Toro Latin Gastro Bar, by world-famous restaurateur Richard Sandoval, is inspired by Pan Latin and Asian cuisines and incorporates tastes from Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia together with cocktails. The venue, a 250-year-old restored and converted hammam, features a terrace with a Bosphorus view. Sandoval says, “Latin American food is more than a meal; it’s an event. Toro Latin Gastro Bar embraces this concept offering new flavors on a diverse menu encouraging diners to sample a range of exotic and delicious dishes, each bursting with exciting flavors.”

And, Kahve Lounge welcomes guests for traditional and classic afternoon teas in a bohemian-style gilded hall and the greenery courtyard. Here, guests can indulge in a selection of sweet and savory bites, and freshly picked seasonal fruits, along with homemade scones served every day between 1:30 to 6:30 pm.
