Barranquilla, Colombia, is Marriott Hotels’ latest stop in Central America, where they recently announced the opening of the Barranquilla Marriott Hotel. The city is known for the annual Carnival of Barranquilla and the beaches to the north.

The new property has 191 spacious guestrooms and nine suites. Each room features technology-enabled work surfaces, open closets, ensuite bathrooms and LED TVs. Additionally, through its longstanding partnership with TED, guests will have access to specially curated in-room TED content during their stay.

Barranquilla Marriott Hotel features several food and beverage outlets. Amira Restaurant offers elevated local cuisine, featuring dishes made from local products. Meira Café showcases a coffee ritual, a wide array of Colombian coffee flavors, and local bread and pastries. The Rum Room offers guests unique tastings and pairings in a space dedicated to liquors produced in destinations that grow sugar cane. Available to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, and Ambassador Elite members as well as paying guests, M Club—a brand signature across Marriott Hotels globally—offers them complimentary food and beverage options featuring hot breakfast, evening drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and premium beverages throughout the day. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, laundry service, outdoor swimming pool, special accommodations for pets and 19,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a ballroom for 750 people.
