Scenic Eclipse II is on track to make its debut in the Mediterranean in April 2023. Scenic Cruises recently released a video showing the yacht’s structural build near completion. The luxury vessel, which is being built by MKM Yachts, is due to float out of its Croatian shipyard later this month.

Although the new yacht is closely modeled after its sister vessel Scenic Eclipse, some changes have been made based on crew and passenger feedback. For starters, the pool and outdoor area on Deck 10 are both larger as is the state-of-the-art-submarine, which will be able to accommodate up to eight guests—two more than can fit in the Scenic Neptune on Scenic Eclipse. Improvements have also been made to the Senses Spa.

“We are intent on innovating and raising the game in the ultra-luxury cruise sector and are doing this by refining the on-board experience and delivering exciting new destinations,” said Maggie Carbonell, v.p. of marketing U.S. for Scenic Group, in a press statement. “There is no limit to our ambition, which is what our discerning guests expect.”

Scenic Eclipse II is due to make its maiden voyage from Lisbon and sail around the Mediterranean, Scotland, the Americas, the Caribbean, Arctic and Antarctic in 2023. Australia, Polynesia and Indonesia are included in the vessel’s 2024 itineraries.
