Barcelo Hotel Group has announced details of new travel agent cash incentives applicable to leisure group and FIT bookings.
The leisure group promotion offers three levels of cash incentives. Level 1 offers $1,000 for 200+ room nights booked, $500 for 100-199 room nights, and $200 for 50-99 room nights. This level is applicable for several resorts in Mexico, including the Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos, Barcelo Maya Beach and Barcelo Puerto Vallarta. It is also applicable for the Occidental Caribe and Occidental Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; and the Barcelo Tambor, Occidental Tamarindo and Occidental Papagayo in Costa Rica.
Cash Incentive Level 2 offers $2,000 for 200+ room nights, $1,000 for 100-199 room nights and $400 for 50-99 room nights. It is applicable to the Royal Hideaway Playacar, Barcelo Maya Palace and Barcelo Maya Riviera in Mexico. It is also applicable for the Barcelo Bavaro Palace and Barcelo Bavaro Beach in the Dominican Republic.
Cash Incentive Level 3, meanwhile, offers $2,500 for 200+ room nights, $1,500 for 100-199 room nights and $800 for 50-99 room nights. It is only applicable to the Barcelo Aruba in Aruba.
The promotion is valid for all bookings made between July 1, 2020 and Dec. 31, 2020, for travel July 1, 2020 to Dec. 22, 2020 and Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 22, 2021.
Barcelo’s policy for leisure group bookings offers the eighth person free at all-inclusive resorts, or the eighth room free at urban hotels. The group must be booked May 1, 2020 through Dec. 23, 2020, valid for travel June 1, 2020 through Dec. 23, 2020. The policy also offers the 11th person free at all-inclusive resorts or the 11th room free at urban hotels. The group must be booked Dec. 24, 2020 through Dec. 23, 2021, and valid for travel June 1, 2021 through Dec. 23, 2021.
The promotion will include a welcome drink for all participants upon arrival, group check-in facilities, complimentary room upgrades, group coordinator’s assistance and a special VIP amenity for one member of the group.
Barcelo is also offering cash incentives for FIT bookings at select all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Aruba.
Cash Incentive Level 1 is applicable only at the Barcelo Aruba and offers $75 for 3-4 nights, and $100 for 5+ nights, at the Royal Level; and $50 for 3-4 nights, and $75 for 5+ nights at the Standard Room level.
Cash Incentive Level 2 is applicable at the Barcelo Puerto Vallarta, Occidental at Xcaret Destination and Occidental Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico. It offers $74 for 4-6 nights, and $100 for 7+ nights, at the Royal Level and Premium Level; and $50 for 4-6 nights, and $75 for 7+ nights at the Standard Room level.
Cash Incentive Level 3, meanwhile, is applicable at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace and Barcelo Bavaro Beach in the Dominican Republic. It offers $100 for 5+ nights at the Premium Level.
The promotion on FIT bookings is valid for all new leisure bookings made June 1, 2020 to Sept. 30, 2020 for travel July 1, 2020 to Dec. 22, 2020.
