Auberge Resorts Offers Bespoke Road Trip Itineraries

The Take to the Open Road with Auberge and Black Tomato program is a series of bespoke road trip itineraries throughout the U.S.

Through a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz USA, travelers will have access to four tailor-made journeys—from Northern and Southern California, to the Rocky Mountains, and to the rolling countryside and picturesque seaside villages of New England. New itineraries allow guests to customize day trips, weekends and longer stays with stops in charming towns or national parks along the way.

Those seeking a South-of-France-meets-California getaway will enjoy a stay at Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley, just two hours from San Francisco. On the opposite coast, city-dwellers ready for an escape can explore the Northeast Itinerary, which makes stops at three Auberge properties: Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Connecticut; The Vanderbilt in Newport, Rhode Island; and White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, Maine.

There’s also a 7-night road trip through Colorado and Utah, starting at Hotel Jerome in Aspen. At the hotel, idyllic outdoor guest experiences include horseback riding through Aspen groves, fly fishing in Roaring Fork River, rock climbing Independence Pass, ziplining through alpine trees, and even paragliding over Aspen Mountain.

Also in the Southwest, Auberge’s Madeline Hotel & Residences, in Telluride, Colorado, a new guest experiences include a 3-day immersion into the world of climbing with Outside Magazine’s Influencer of the Year Selah Schneiter for Telluride’s Via Ferrata and an iconic 14er mountain.

New to the Collection
The 54-room and -suite Commodore Perry Estate is a storied architectural landmark set on 10 secluded acres just outside of downtown Austin. The first urban destination for Auberge Resorts Collection, it debuted to the public on June 29. A year-round getaway surrounded by expansive grounds and lush, green English gardens, the resort is Inspired by European elegance and Gatsby-era bon vivant vibes. Property features include a 50-ft. oval swimming pool, a fitness center and an organic kitchen garden.
