Alyeska Resort, in Girdwood, Alaska near Anchorage, is offering a 2-night Stay and Save package this summer. The resort features a bike park, hiking trails, a full-service spa, yoga classes, an aerial tram and dining in the northernmost rainforest in the world.
This summer marks the return of AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Seven Glaciers restaurant open now through Sept. 18, Wednesdays – Saturdays. Chefs at Seven Glaciers embrace local and seasonal ingredients in their dishes and diners can ride the Alyeska aerial tram for free with a reservation.
But, the aerial tram isn’t just a ride to dinner at Seven Glaciers. The 7-minute ride up Mount Alyeska shows off seven hanging glaciers, breathtaking peaks of the Chugach Mountains and views of the coast from an elevation of 2,300 ft. At the top, guests can explore the Roundhouse Museum, take a short hike around the ski trails, or get food, local craft beer or a signature cocktail at the Bore Tide Deli and Bar.
And for those who want to relax, the Spa at Alyeska has several options for massages and features a saltwater pool, sauna and fitness center. The amenities will be upgraded this fall when the new 50,000 sq.-ft. indoor-outdoor Nordic Spa opens its doors. Set in the secluded forest around the resort, the spa will feature hot and cold pools, steam rooms, and barrel saunas.
Adventure-seekers can enjoy the downhill bike park, which offers group and private biking lessons and bike rentals. Hikers also have dozens of options for trails at every experience level—from the leisurely Winner Creek Trail to the steep and challenging North Face Trail—there’s no shortage of room to roam away from the bustle of a big city.
More adventurous Alaska experiences are easily accessible from Alyeska Resort and can be booked through the concierge. Alpine Air Alaska and Chugach Adventures offer some of the most unique experiences in the area. Guests can admire Alaska’s beauty from a bird’s-eye view on a flightseeing or helicopter tour, kayak or raft to an expansive backcountry glacier, or enjoy one of Alaska’s state sport dog mushing on top of a glacier.

For guests who need transportation, the hotel can make arrangements for taxi or car service from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport for guests who book 24 hours in advance, and the Alaska Railroad travels between Anchorage and Girdwood twice daily. The community of Girdwood also offers daily shuttle service to get around the mountainside community with ease.
