Turkish Airlines Increases Miami Frequencies

Turkish Airlines has increased frequencies between Istanbul and Miami to 10 times per week up from seven weekly flights, as part of the airline’s plans to expand in North America.

The new Miami schedule will be aboard B777-300ER and B787-9 and will run through the end of October. With this increase, Turkish Airlines will have 88 weekly departures from Istanbul to the U.S. in mid August. This is up from 75 in the same week pre-pandemic 2019.

New flights from Miami will take place on: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Istanbul to Miami at 00:40-06:00 (same day service), Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Miami to Istanbul at 11:45-06:00 (next day arrival). These new flights are in addition to the existing flights 7-days a week from Istanbul to Miami at 14:05-19:25 (same day service), and the 7-day weekly flights from Miami to Istanbul at 21:05-15:20 (next day service).

Turkish Airlines also re-launched services from Newark in May after not flying from there in 27 years.

The breakdown of flights from the U.S. is as follows:

  • New York JFK: 14 weekly departures from Istanbul
  • Los Angeles: 11
  • Miami: 10
  • Chicago: 10
  • San Francisco: 10
  • Boston: 7
  • Newark: 7 (relaunched in May 2021)
  • Washington Dulles: 7
  • Houston: 7
  • Atlanta: 5
